Comprehensive Psychiatric Care for Adults

Seattle psychiatrist for adult depression, anxiety, ADHD, insomnia, and addiction treatment

Evidence-based evaluation, medication management, and psychotherapy.

My Psychiatric Approach

Evidence-based psychiatric care in Seattle for adults with depression, anxiety, ADHD, and addiction

I provide evidence-based psychiatric care that emphasizes careful assessment, thoughtful decision-making, and ongoing collaboration. My approach is grounded in established psychiatric practice while remaining attentive to each person’s unique history, goals, and circumstances.

Treatment begins with a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation and continues through longitudinal care focused on safety, effectiveness, and continuity. When medications are used, prescribing is conservative and intentional, with close attention to benefits, side effects, and evolving clinical needs.

I view psychiatric care as a collaborative process. Treatment plans are developed together and may evolve over time as symptoms change or new information emerges. When helpful, I coordinate care with therapists, primary care clinicians, and other medical providers to support unified, comprehensive treatment.

The goal of my work is to help patients achieve meaningful symptom relief while building stability, insight, and long-term resilience.

Appointments Types

Initial Psychiatric Evaluation

The initial appointment includes a comprehensive psychiatric assessment, review of relevant history, and discussion of treatment options. This visit is designed to establish an accurate diagnosis and develop an initial treatment plan.

Follow-Up Appointments

Follow-up appointments support ongoing treatment and continuity of care. These visits focus on monitoring symptoms, adjusting treatment as needed, and addressing questions or concerns that arise over time.

Follow-up care may include one of two general formats, depending on clinical needs and patient preference:

  • Medication Management Visits
These appointments focus on the safe and effective use of psychiatric medications, including monitoring response, tolerability, and side effects. Some patients choose medication management while continuing psychotherapy with an outside therapist.

  • Medication Management with Psychotherapy
Some patients prefer to engage in psychotherapy as part of their follow-up care. In these cases, appointments include both medication management and psychotherapy with me. This option may involve more frequent visits and time for therapeutic work alongside medication review.

Billing & Insurance Information

At this time, I am not contracted with insurance plans. Payment is due at the time of service.

Upon request, itemized receipts (superbills) can be provided for clients who wish to seek potential out-of-network reimbursement directly from their insurance carrier. Coverage and reimbursement vary by plan and are determined by the individual’s insurer.

I am currently in the process completing credentialing with select insurance networks. Updates regarding accepted insurance plans will be posted once credentialing and contracting are complete.

My Appointment Process

Care begins with an initial psychiatric evaluation. This first appointment focuses on understanding current concerns, psychiatric and medical history, and treatment goals. Based on this assessment, an initial treatment plan is developed collaboratively.

Ongoing care is provided through scheduled follow-up appointments. These visits allow for monitoring symptoms, adjusting treatment as needed, and addressing questions or concerns over time. Treatment plans may evolve as clinical needs change.

When appropriate, care may include psychotherapy, medication management, or a combination of both. Coordination with other treating providers, such as therapists or primary care clinicians, is incorporated when helpful for comprehensive care.

Appointments are conducted in a professional, supportive, and confidential setting, with an emphasis on continuity, safety, and effective treatment.
